BOULDER — University of Colorado football head coach Dan Hawkins announced several items concerning his program Monday, including filling out his coaching staff and incoming walk-ons in addition to the most successful semester on record for the football team academically.

Thorne II Headed to Europe with AIA
University of Colorado senior Dwight Thorne II will be one of 10 NCAA Division I student-athletes from across the United States coming together to embark on a one-week competitive international tour against teams in Poland and Berlin, Germany.

The AIA team is one of 12 Athletes In Action international-touring men’s and women’s basketball teams this summer.

2009 Spring Game Wrap
BOULDER—The University of Colorado football team officially wrapped up the 2009 spring season by holding its annual Spring Game Saturday afternoon in Folsom Field. The Black team defeated the Gold, 17-10 in the scrimmage.

Jones Drafted By The Green Bay Packers
BOULDER – University of Colorado senior Brad Jones was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL Draft Sunday.

Four other Buffs signed free agent contracts Sunday, as well, with Daniel Sanders signing with the St. Louis Rams, George Hypolite with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Maurice Lucas with Atlanta while Patrick Williams will join Jones with the Packers.
